The company’s participation comes at an important time for Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector, as the Health Sector Transformation Program continues to reshape the system around greater access, prevention, digitalization and integrated care, while strengthening the foundations for a more sustainable and effective model of healthcare. At the same time, the launch of the National Biotechnology Strategy is positioning the Kingdom to become a global biotechnology hub by 2040, with a focus on biopharmaceutical manufacturing, gene therapy research and the development of Saudi talent.
Against this backdrop, Novartis is using its presence at Global Health Exhibition to highlight how sustained investment in science, research and patient-centric initiatives can support the Kingdom’s healthcare ambitions and contribute to a stronger life sciences ecosystem.
At its dedicated exhibition booth, Novartis will demonstrate how it is advancing access to innovative therapies, elevating local research infrastructure, and scaling patient support programs across the Kingdom. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage with Novartis experts and explore how these priorities contribute to a more patient-centric healthcare model, from generating local scientific evidence to supporting patients throughout their treatment journeys.
The company will also showcase its portfolio of 140 registered treatments across multiple disease areas and its progress in local manufacturing, with four Novartis medicines now fully manufactured in the Kingdom. These efforts reflect a broader commitment to supporting supply resilience, building local expertise and contributing to Saudi Arabia’s ambition to develop a sustainable, innovation-driven life sciences sector.
Clinical research will be another central theme of the Novartis showcase. Earlier this year, Novartis received first place in the Clinical Research Contribution Award at the Clinical Trials Transformation Conference in Riyadh, presented by King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center. The Saudi Food and Drug Authority’s 2025 statistics also recognized Novartis as the top contributing multinational company to clinical trials in the Kingdom. Together, these recognitions reflect the company’s continued investment in research, collaboration with healthcare institutions and contribution to strengthening local scientific capabilities.
Amir Abdelaziz, Country President at Novartis Saudi Arabia, said: “Saudi Arabia is undergoing a significant transformation in healthcare, with a clear focus on building a system that is more accessible, integrated, sustainable and centered around the needs of patients. For Novartis, being part of this transformation means contributing through the areas where our expertise and capabilities can have meaningful impact, from advancing clinical research and access to innovative therapies to supporting patients and strengthening local capabilities.”
He added: “Global Health Exhibition provides an important platform to bring these efforts together and engage with the healthcare community around the priorities that will shape the Kingdom’s next phase of healthcare development. Our recognition for clinical research, our growing contribution to local manufacturing and our continued investment in patient support reflect our commitment to being a long-term partner in Saudi Arabia’s healthcare journey.”
