Innov8 Start-up Competition

The Innov8 competition was another brilliant success last year, awarding a total of SAR 350,000 to three fantastic healthcare pioneers who are disrupting the industry with ground-breaking ideas and solutions for the future of healthcare.

The pitch competition:

20 start-ups will be required to pitch their innovative ideas on stage and in front of a panel of judges, made up of industry leaders, investors, government officials and entrepreneurs who will determine the winners.

2 Rounds, with 10 start-ups in each:

  • Day 1 – Group 1: 10 Start-ups
  • Day 2 – Group 2: 10 Start-ups
  • Day 3 – Final: Pitch-Off – (Top 6 Finalists)

3 minutes to pitch and 5 minutes of Q&A with the judges

Top 6 finalists will compete in the finale on 24 October

1 winner will be announced along with the second and third runner-ups.

The winner of Innov8 Talks 2023, will not only get the recognition and the once in a lifetime opportunity to present their innovation to the international healthcare community but will also receive prize money of SAR 200,000

Health Investment Zone

Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 outlines healthcare as a critical pillar for development, setting ambitious goals and strategies to enhance healthcare access and quality. The kingdom is also witnessing a surge in domestic demand for high-quality healthcare services due to rapid population growth and increased life expectancy.

Vision 2030 emphasizes finding effective solutions, with the government actively leveraging digital technologies and embracing privatization, ensuring accessibility, quality, and affordability of healthcare. To achieve these objectives and build a world-class healthcare infrastructure, the government has committed a substantial $66 billion investment, positioning Saudi Arabia as a major player in health tourism and a global healthcare powerhouse in the industry

The objective of the Health Investment Zone is to illustrate the investor journey, and to provide a platform to highlight and discuss the latest regulations, government initiatives and developments that are shaping the healthcare sector in Saudi Arabia.
