Overview

The health care system in Saudi is transforming from a fee-for-service healthcare model to a value-based healthcare system. This session discusses the challenges and enablers to the transformation and the resilience of the new model during pandemics in term of flexibility and agility during a crisis.

Currently Dr Mohammed Al Saghier is the Chief Executive Officer of the Health Holding Company in Saudi Arabia. Dr Al Saghier had previously served as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Transformation, and led the Corporatization Projects in Vision Realization Office at the Ministry of Health. He has been the National Director of Model of Care Transformation Program, since Jan 2016.

A Medical Services Project Leader on the Saudi Aramco/Johns Hopkins Medicine International. Advisor to H.E. the Vice Minister M.O.H-K. Moreover, in charge of creating and developing Managed Care Department. Now he is leading the Council of Cooperative Health Insurance CCHI. In addition, Member of the Saudi Health Council, the Committee of Voluntary Health and the Health Endowment Fund
